NAMIBIA HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT 2011 (FULL)

Dear Stakeholders:

INTRODUCING THE NAMIBIA HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT 2011

Finally, the detailed Namibia Human Rights Report 2011 (N2HR 2011) is now available. N2HR 2011 takes into cognizance the doctrine that all human rights are indivisible, interrelated, and interdependent and that respect for civil and political rights goes hand-in-hand with the recognition of all cultural, economic, environmental, and social rights. N2HR 2011 only records those actual and inchoate commissions and omissions---expressed in terms of threats to human security---which have come to NamRights’ attention and which, under normal circumstances, should never have occurred in a democratic society.

An abridged version of N2HR 2011, featuring the state of civil and political rights and issued to coincide with Namibia’s 22 Independence Anniversary, can be down loaded here. The summarized version of N2HR 2011---which focuses on economic, environmental and social rights---has already been released on December 10 2011 with the view to mark the 63rd Anniversary of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The must-read detailed 197-page N2HR 2011 can be ordered at a cost of N$200.00 from Anna-Lice who can be reached at Tel: 061 236 183 or 0811 406 888 (office hours).
