Scores of people arrived at the Katutura Magistrate’s Court this morning to protest against gender based violence and pleaded for no bail for the alleged murderer of Magdalena Stoffels. Amongst the protestors [was] Mr. Phil ya Nangolo[h], director of the National Society for Human Rights.

The Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, Ms. Doreen Sioka, accepted the protestors’ petition.
